You started a blog but you don’t feel confident to about it? There are plenty of reasons, perhaps you don’t want to get criticized and comparison with other well known bloggers. Or maybe you are an introvert and don’t open up about life goals.
If you feel your blog don’t worth it, here is a post from Ryan from Blogging from Paradise to boost up your self-confidence. Over to you Ryan.
As within so without.
Despite doing all things right for many years I slammed into blogging struggles. Never seemed to be able to shake these blogging denizens of the dark, these dastardly demons.
Wanna know how I changed blogging course?
I figured out that how you choose to feel determines what you see, and what you see determines how you act, and how you act determines the results you see.
Start with your energy.
Do you blog predominantly with love and generosity? Are you blogging with a fun, carefree vibe? If “yes”, please carry on. Do you. But if you answered “no” it’s time to develop confidence in your blog.
Unless you feel confident in your blog (most of the time) don’t expect readers to feel confident in your blog either. The outside conditions mirror back to you your predominant vibe. Or your readers – or lack thereof – mirror your predominant vibe back to you.
Follow these tips to develop confidence in your blog.
Design a T-Shirt with Your Blog Logo and Wear it in Public
Some bloggers talk a big game. But their confidence collapses like a house of cards the moment I offer the advice shared via this tip.
Designing and wearing a T-shirt with your blog logo unearths self-conscious, unclear, not too confident energies in yourself and your blog.
I felt incredibly uncomfortable the first few times I wore my Blogging From Paradise T-shirts in public. But clearing these fears helped me wear the shirts with clarity and confidence in airports and other high traffic places. I gained a handful of readers and increased eBook sales from folks who found me through my BFP shirts too.
Spend $20. Design a T-shirt online. Wear it in public. See how truly clear and confident you are in your blog.
Guest Post on Top Blogs from Your Niche
10 years ago I was a big blogging fish in a small pond.
Today I am a small blogging guppy in the Mariana Trench.
I have written and published over 2000 guest posts on all manner of blogs. I am, quite literally, almost everywhere in the blogging tips niche.
Guest posting on top blogs pushed me well outside of my comfort zone. I left the confidence and perceived safety of my blog to expose myself, blog and brand to huge, ever-growing readerships across my niche. Writing for 300,000 people on Pro Blogger felt quite unlike writing for a much smaller audience on my blog. But guest posting for huge, new audiences gave me clarity and confidence in my blog because guest posting reveals a litany of fear-filled, anxious, worried energies largely related to a lack of confidence.
Most bloggers play small because they don’t genuinely believe in their blogs. Guest posting ferrets out these not too confident energies, forcing you to play big as you play up.
Sit with Blogging Criticism
I vividly recall receiving my first few 1 star reviews on my audio books and eBooks. I also recall being criticized by clients.
Sitting with the criticism from many years ago revealed my false sense of bravado. In reality, my confidence was a balloon; any criticism played the role of a pin, popping the balloon and destroying my scant confidence in self and blog.
The quickest way to become incredibly confident and clear with your blog is to sit with, feel (however much it stings) and clear fear-filled energies arising after critics lob nasty bombs your way.
The most confident bloggers cleared out not too confident feelings by venturing out of their comfort zones, by feeling criticism versus reacting to it and by proceeding from a clearer, calmer, peaceful, more confident space, clearing fear-filled energies that held them back.
